Guys, it has been since August since I wrote a blog post. I am just letting that sink in right now. Wow; How time flies!
My goal was to blog every two weeks this year. I have definitely not met my goal, but you know what, that’s okay. I am giving myself grace, because like you, I have been let’s just say, busy.
Last December, it was announced that I would be the new Principal of Boone Trail Elementary school. I feel called to lead in this way and I am truly grateful to God that I am lucky enough to be in the position to continue to serve those around me in my community, and most importantly, our students.
I have loved my time at middle school as an assistant principal, but I do deeply miss elementary kiddos! Their personalities, hugs, unconditional love, and wild silliness without being embarrassed, inspires me to always be true to who I am.
My future staff at Boone Trail has been nothing but loving, welcoming, and encouraging to me- and for that, I am deeply appreciative. I cannot wait to serve beside them.
Through this time, I have also continued my work as an Assistant Principal while working diligently on my Doctorate program. Bonding with my cohort team within my Doctorate classes has been one of the best experiences of my life. By the way, I will graduate in December 2021!
With all of this said, I wanted to share my gratitude for my colleagues at #rsmsrocks, my cohort team, my dear friends and family, and for all of those who have lifted me up throughout the years. Without you, I would not be at a place where I am now to lead, to serve, and to live my life’s calling. It truly touches my heart that I am fortunate to have you in my life. Thank you for loving on me, giving me true wisdom, and for lifting me up through and through. I hope I can make you proud.
